Chairs

Eugene is a senior at Encinal High School and has been an eager participant in Model United Nations for the past three years. Last fall, he helped organize the first ever Island Model United Nations Conference and worked as Head-Chair for its DISEC committee. He loves Model UN for how it brings together so many students of diverse backgrounds and helps them see the world from different perspectives. In his free time, he enjoys hiking around the Bay Area, spending time with friends and family, and playing with his cats. Ever excited, this year as Secretary General he hopes to make this conference as safe, educational, and fun as possible for all participants!

Wren is a senior at Encinal High School and has been involved in Model United Nations for three years. She helped organize the inaugural Island MUN conference last year and is excited to see its return. This year, she is serving as the Head Chair of the French Revolution Crisis Committee and can’t wait to foster a fun, fast-paced experience for delegates. Crisis is her favorite type of committee, she enjoys the energy and creativity it brings and hopes you will love it as well. In her free time she enjoys getting matcha with friends, hiking with her family (and dog), and participating in sports with her best friends. She is thrilled to be a part of Island MUN once again and looks forward to seeing everyone in October!

Isaac is a Sophomore attending Encinal Jr. Sr. High School. Ever since middle school, Isaac has taken a large interest in history and politics. When Isaac joined Encinal High School, he knew he wanted to participate in Model UN. Last year, Isaac became Secretary General of Fundraising and Outreach of Model UN while attending multiple conferences with Encinal Model UN. Isaac enjoyed participating in Island Model UN last year, and this year, Isaac is even more excited to become head chair of the General Assembly.

Ryan is a junior at Encinal High School and has participated in Model UN for the past two years. He helped organize and develop the first annual Island MUN conference and worked as a feedback and awards coordinator. This year, he is serving as the head chair of the U.S Senate committee for government students. In his free time, he loves listening to music, spending time with friends, and trying new foods. This year, as Deputy-Secretary General, he’s looking forward to facilitating another year of IMUN and ensuring a positive learning experience for all attendees! 

Rayan is a sophomore at Encinal High School and a Chair of the General Assembly for this year’s Island Model United Nations. He joined Model UN last year and participated in Island MUN. He continues to be involved in MUN as the Under-Secretary General of Events. Outside of conferences, Rayan enjoys spending time with friends and playing soccer.

Clementine Thompson is proud to serve as the Chair of the Novice Committee at this year's Model United Nations conference. Passionate about diplomacy and global issues, she is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for first-time delegates. Clementine strives to make MUN an engaging and educational experience, helping newcomers build confidence in public speaking, negotiation, and collaboration. Outside of MUN, she enjoys exploring international affairs, surfing, volunteering in her community, and sailing.
